Jack White finally goes solo

Well, Jack White has finally decided to release solo album after his former band White Stripes broke-up last year. It took him actually quite a long time to decide to go solo. Jack White is known for his frequent collaborations with many different artist, but he had never decided to go solo. Until now.

His debut solo record entitled Blunderbuss will be, of course, released via White's independent record label Third Man Records. It will be out pretty soon - on April 23. The album was produced by Jack White himself and it was recorded in Third Man Records' studio in Nashville.

White said about the record:

“(Blunderbuss is) an album I couldn’t have released until now. I’ve put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas."

If you can't wait until the album's out, you can stream its first single "Love Interruption" here. It is surprisingly mellow, but not bad at all. In fact, I'm really excited about this record because I've been waiting for a long time for Jack White to finally go solo. I think I'm not the only one.
