The Cranberries to release first album in 11 years

The band has unveiled that they will release new album after long 11 years. The album is entitled Roses and it will be out on February 14 next year. It was recorded in Toronto`s Metalworks Studio and the producer was Stephen Street. The band also plan to go on tour in support of their new album.

Flaming Lips to release several tracks with different artists on Record Store Day

Flaming Lips have always been fans of Record Store Day. They have previously supported this event several times before. This year, they plan to release compilation of collaborative songs.
The singer Wayne Coyne has told Billboard that the band will collaborate with Neon Indian, Lightning Bolt, Prefuse 73, Nick Cave, Death Cab for Cutie, Ghostland Observatory, Cloudland Canyon, Lykki Li and Ke$ha. He also said that the band will release second album of collaborative tracks later in 2012.


Black Sabbath reunion?

Ozzy Osbourne has admitted that it is very possible that Black Sabbath will reform. Former frontman of the band who left Black Sabbath in 1979 said that he might join forces with Geezer Butler, Bill Ward and Tony Iommi.

He said to Billboard.com:

"It's in the very early stages, so we haven't recorded anything yet. If it works out, it'll work out. If it doesn't, I'll keep doing my thing."

Guitarist Tony Iommi told Birmingham Mail that the band may play live shows and record new studio album. Well, we will see how it ends.
