Watch Green Day debut new song

Green Day played a new song called "Carpe Diem" during their gig in San Francisco last tuesday (November 1). There is no official release of trio's new album, but hopefully all songs will be at least as good as this one.

Fans of Detriot Lions protest against Nickelback

Nickelback are set to play at NFL game between Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers during halftime break on November 24. However, Detroit fans are strongly against Nickelback playing during their homecoming game. They decided to start online petition that is already signed by 20,000 people.

Statement on the petition says:

"This game is nationally televised, do we really want the rest of the US to associate Detroit with Nickelback? Detroit is home to so many great musicians and they choose Nickelback?!?!?! Does anyone even like Nickelback? Is this some sort of ploy to get people to leave their seats during halftime to spend money on alcoholic beverages? This is completely unfair to those of us who purchased tickets to the game. At least the people watching at home can mute their TV's. The Lions ought to think about their fans before choosing such an awful band to play at halftime."
