C. J Ramone claims he refused to play in Metallica

Former bassist of The Ramones said that he was asked to join Metallica to play bass. He denied the offer from Metallica after their bassist Jason Newsted quit the metal legendary band. Ramone claims that he was not able to join the band because of his son`s illness.
Metallica then was joined by former Suicidal Tendencies bassist Robert Trujilo.
Ramone said:
"I have no regrets. It would’ve been great to play with Metallica after being in the Ramones. Jesus, that would be just like a too perfect life."
