Listen to new track from Avenged Sevenfold

American rock/metal band Avenged Sevenfold has been pretty busy touring basically since release of their last studio album in July of 2010. They've been pretty much on the road since Nightmare came out. Obviously, they didn't have much time working on new tracks while being on the road so all their fans had to wait for new music from them for a while.

However, yesterday they finally released new track called "Carry On". It will be featured on very anticipated new video game Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which comes out on November 13.

I hope that this new song also means new album in near future. I really like their last two studio albums and I hope they will keep up good work even without The Rev... Based on this song, it seems like they still got it because it sounds awesome.

Watch new Crystal Castles video

In July, I informed you about new track from Canadian electronic duo Crystal Castles called "Plague". It is first track revealed form their forthcoming album. The album should come out sometime in November. However, exact release date is still unknown. Also, the title is yet unknown, but based on their previous two records (they were entitled simply Crystal Castles), there is no need to announce the title...

Now they revealed a music video for this song. It is dark and twisted just like we expect from this duo. It features a female going crazy... That's pretty much the whole video.

Song of the day: Green Day - "Jesus of Suburbia"

This is actually pretty awesome performance of Green Day's track called "Jesus of Suburbia". It obviously comes from their seventh grammy-winning concept album American Idiot, which came out eight year ago - on September 21, 2004.

During this performance, 21-year old guy (who probably had a birthday on day of this concert or something) is asked to go on stage, drink a whole beer and then perform "Jesus of Suburbia" with the band. I love how happy he looks and how well he enjoys this one-time-in-a-life moment.

Green Day is actually pretty nice band because they do this quite often during their live shows. I think it is awesome that they try to connect with their fans.

Picture of the day: September 25, 2012

I know that it is unbelievable, but it is exactly 21 years and 1 day since Nirvana's legendary album Nevermind was released. This album probably changed the whole music.

It came out on September 24, 1991 via DGS Records. It was produced by current Garbage's drummer Butch Vig (he also produced records like The Smashing Pumpkins' Gish, Sonic Youth's Dirty and Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star, Jimmy Eat World's Chase This Light and, of course, Foo Fighters' Wasting Light). It was recorded during May and June in Sound City Studios (Dave Grohl is making a movie about this studio).

I think that this album don't feature a song that is bad. All tracks are awesome or at least good and I know that this album has changed a lot of people.

Cover of the album has also interesting story. It was Kurt Cobain's idea to make such cover after he watched water births with Dave Grohl. First, they wanted to use real water births images, but they were too vivid for the record company. Therefore, they settled to shoot babies in a pool. Then they chose image of an infant named Spencer Elden. However, there was again a problem with a penis, which was too big. The only compromise that Kur Cobain would agree on was to put a sticker over it with a sign "If you're offended by this, you must be a closet pedophile."

What do you think of the album?
