Listen to new track from Muse!

Everybody probably knows that Muse is realeasing their sixth studio album entitled The 2nd Law on October 1, 2012. They have already revealed two tracks from the album - "Survival" (official song of 2012 London Olympic Games) and "The 2nd Law: Unsustainable", which you can hear below.

However, none of these tracks were official single of the album. Band released just today their first single from The 2nd Law. Song is called "Madness" and band also made a lyric video for it. You can watch it here:

I think that this track is good as well.  I feel that this is more typical Muse song. "Survival" has a Queen vibe and "The 2nd Law: Unsustainable" is influenced by dubstep artist Skrillex.

I gotta say that all three songs are great and even though they are all so different I like them all. I like when band is not afraid to go different direction and try something new.

Picture of the day: August 20, 2012

This photo was taken from Foo Fighters' gig at Prague, which took place on August 15 at O2 Arena Praha. I wasn't able to attend this show, but I hope I will have a chance too see these guys because I think that they are one of the best current rock bands.

Song of the day: John Butler - "Ocean"

John Butler has decided to re-record his instrumental track "Ocean", which he has been performing for last 12 years. It was recorded in his studio called The Compound in his hometown of Fremantle Western Australia in February 2012.

For John, this track is very special. He has written about the track:

"OCEAN is a very interesting aspect of my life. It is part of my DNA. It conveys all things I can't put into words.
Life, loss, love, spirit. As I evolve so too does 'Ocean'. The song was first recorded as part of my first album/cassette,
"Searching For Heritage", which I sold when I busked, then for my first self-titled studio album 12 years ago -- "John Butler (1998)".
The song has been watched online incredibly over 25 million times in various formats, nearly always live, be it from MusicMax Sessions or from one of the many festivals I have had the pleasure to play. I'd like to thank you for your continued support over all these years; it means so much to me. I would like to thank you by offering this first studio recording of 'Ocean' in over a decade as a free download.
I recorded it in my favourite studio, The Compound here in Fremantle Western Australia, a studio you helped me build.
This marks just another fleeting moment in a career that is very much ongoing.
I look forward to bringing you many new songs and albums into the future and continuing this amazing journey with you ALL.
THANK YOU,
J.B"

You can download "Ocean" here.

I really admire this artist because I can feel he does music with passion and with his heart. This track only proves this fact.
