The Prodigy will play new songs at Download Festival

The Prodigy are set to perform new song during their recently announced headline performance at Download Festival. They will headline the first night of the festival - June 8.

Singer of the band Keith Flint has announced this news. Flint has also confirmed that the band is in the studio working on new, yet untitled, album.

Metallica and freshly reunited Black Sabbath will headline other two nights of the festival. Sadly, Download appearance will be Prodigy's only performance of 2012.

Flint said:

"We are definitely going to bring the party and make sure it rocks. It's the only festival appearance we are doing in 2012, so we're going to make sure it's really special. We're also going to be dropping some of the new stuff that we have been doing in the studio. It's going to be fucking ferocious."

Song of the day: Muse - "New Born"

Great classic from their second album Origin of Symmetry, which came out in 2001. This record made them famous and since its release, they have become one of the greatest bands.

Scientists: Sex Pistols paintings are archaeologist findings

Archeologists say that recently found paintings in Johnny Rotten's apartment may have similar significance to cave paintings in Lascaux, France from Paleolithic times. According to John Schofield, York University archeologist, Sex Pistols paintings are clear evidence of radical punk rebellion in 70s. More scientists agree that these paintings are important historic and archaeologist findings.
Johnny Rotten painted on his walls himself, other band members and their manager Malcolm McLaren. Archeologists made evidence of these paintings. According to Schofield, Sex Pistols paintings can be compared to early Beatles recordings.

Well, these statements may offend somebody, but I find it really interesting and I agree that paintings are evidence of punk rebellion from 70s.

You can also watch documentary movie about these paintings from Denmark Street below.
