Watch Muse, The Killers and No Doubt perform at MTV EMAs

Last weekend (November 11), MTV EMAs took place in Frankfurt. Even though I don't care about these kinds of awards at all, sometimes they feature pretty decent performances from artists who actually make real music and not those gangnam-style kind of "artists". It makes me really sad when I look at the nominees and winners... seriously, look for yourself here.

Anyway, like I said, sometimes they feature performances of great artists. This year, it was Muse, The Killers and No Doubt. It's not a lot, but we can be glad for at least something, right?

Muse obviously put out the best show of these three. They performed song "Madness" taken from their latest album The 2nd Law. I really like the beginning during which frontman of the band, Matt Bellamy, wears these cool glasses with two screens instead of see-through glass. However, he obviously can't see through them so before he's about to start playing his guitar, he has to take them off

No Doubt also performed quite well. They played song called "Looking Hot" from their comeback album Push and Shove, which came out only recently.

Finally, The Killers... Well, I'm kind of disappointed because they performed with playback and that's just not performance for me. However, at least they were there and brought real music to this horrible event...

Watch all three performances below.

Metric have a new music video

Great indie rock band from Canada called Metric released fifth studio LP entitled Synthetica in July of this year. It features 11 new tracks, which got mostly positive reception. The band basically continue doing what they've been doing for last 14 or 15 years because it obviously works.

The band also recently revealed new music video for second single of the album called "Breathing Underwater". The track is really catchy and in fact, I like it more than the first single "Youth Without Youth".

New music video contains footage from their endless touring. So they basically used well-known concept and used it for their new music video. Though I think it's not bad when a band shows "on-the-road footage" in their music video from time to time.

Check the video below.

Watch new music video from Björk

Icelandic singer-songwritter, well known and well respected, Björk, has released her eighth studio record entitled Biophilia last year. It is once again great record from this incredible artist, which got positive reviews from music critics as well as her fans. Actually, I start to feel that Bjork can hardly go wrong and make something really really bad. I'm not saying that everybody should and does love her, but I definitely think she deserves the respects she receives for her work.

Recently, she teamed up with Los Angeles' Museum of Contemporary Arts and together made a music video for second single of the album called "Mutual Core".

The music video was directed by Andrew Thomas Huang and it is as weird as Björk and her music. It features 46 years old singer in sand. Around her are these sinister rock creatures. Like I said, it is weird, but these visuals are made with passion and are really incredible. Check this piece of art at the bottom of the post.

Björk is also set to release Biophilia remix album. It is called Bastards and it will be out next week (November 19). Although, all remixes have been previously released as The Crystalline Series of the Biophillia Remix Series, Björk picked quarter of them and put them on single CD.

Bastards tracklisting:

1. "Crystalline" (Omar Souleyman Remix)
2. "Virus" (Hudson Mohawke "Peaches and Guacamol" Rework)
3. "Sacrifice" (Death Grips Remix)
4. "Sacrifice" (Matthew Herbert's Pins and Needles Mix) (edit)
5. "Mutual Core" (These New Puritans Remix) [ft. Soloman Is. Song]
6. "Hollow" (16-bit Remix)
7. "Mutual Core" (Matthew Herbert’s "Teutonic Plates" Mix)
8. "Thunderbolt" (Death Grips Remix)
9. "Dark Matter" (Alva Noto Remodel)
10. "Thunderbolt" (Omar Souleyman Remix)
11. "Solstice" (Current Value Remix)
12. "Moon" (The Slips Remix)
13. "Crystalline" (Matthew Herbert Remix)

Song of the day: Green Day - "Stray Heart"

Song called "Stray Heart" was first track revealed from Green Day's second album of their ongoing album trilogy ;Uno! ;Dos! ;Tre!. It is also first single of the record, which officially came out last week (November 9).

Couple of days ahead of the album release, music video for this single was revealed. The video is typical love music video about a couple in which a guy messes it up and so on and so on... There is also this kind of weird thing where his heart jumps off his body and leaves literally a hole in his chest. The rest of the video is pretty much about that guy chasing his heart around the town. It is kind of weird.

However, the track is really good. Especially, the chorus is really catchy. Also the bass sounds great.
