Franz Ferdinand seem to be back. The band haven't played big gig for over two years now. However, they are now confirmed for first show in 2012. They are set to headline Primavera Sound festival, which takes place in Barcelona, Spain on May 30-June 3.
It is very likely that they will add more shows for 2012.
Bjork, Death Cam For Cutie, The Drums, The xx are also confirmed for Primavera Sound festival for this year. To see all confirmed bands so far, head here.
Below you can watch Kasabian's making of "Re-Wired" video. "Re-Wired" is their second single from their latest record Velociraptor!, which came out in September this year. The music video for this song was released in October. However, "making of" video was put online only two weeks ago.
I've been listening to their new album El Camino just for one day, but I felt in love with it. Especially song "Run Right Back" is awesome. Check it out below.
The Black Keys, Rammstein, Nightwish have all their new records out this week. Also, Korn's collaborative album with Skrillex is finally out. I'm really curious about that one.
Here is my full list of new albums for 49th week:
Amy Winehouse - Lioness: Hidden Treasures The Black Keys – El Camino Korn – The Path Of Totality Motley Crue – Greatest Hits Nightwish – Imaginaerum Rammstein – Made In Germany
Band have replaced their former drummer Matt Tong for ex-Pearl Jam's Dave Abbruzzes. According to band, Kele's not leaving the band. Well, we'll have to wait for more information, but I think it is better that drummer left instead of Kele. Even though he is great drummer, Bloc Party without Kele wouldn't be Bloc Party anymore.
Song taken from their debut album Ten. In case you haven't seen their recent document Pearl Jam Twenty celebrating their twentieth anniversary, check it out, it's awesome.
Youtube star Lana Del Rey released "Official Audio" video (as she calls it) for song "Born To Die". In this provocative video, she is nude and hugs also naked guy in front of American flag behind them. Official video is coming soon according to attached disclaimer.
The Black Keys will release their new record El Camino next week (December 6). However, it leaked so you can listen to it now if you don't want to wait.
They also announced north american tour in 2012. They will visit 15 arenas in 15 cities throughout the north American part of their tour. Well, after these two released Lulu, fans actually started hating it. Mostly, there was negative feedback on the album. However, I think it is not such a big disaster (you can read my review here), it is just very different.
Anyway, they made a music video for their first song they put out before it was released - "The View". It
was directed by Darren Aronofsky .
He said about the song:
"The first time I heard "The View" I was stunned, I had never heard anything like it. Half was all Lou. The other half all Metallica. It was a marriage that on the surface made no sense, but the fusion changed the way I thought about both artists and morphed into something completely fresh and new. I couldn’t stop listening to it. Lou’s crushing lyrics, and the band’s incredible licks."
Lou Reed also said something about the cooperation with Aronofsky:
"I am very excited about working with Darren Aronofsky on our powerful video "The View". I feel Darren understood the power and range of the emotions fueled by the fire of Metallica. His strength and spirit are on display in every frame and I think he has caught the anger, rage and anguish at the bottom of the soul of real rock."
