Song of the day: Howler - "Back Of Your Neck"

I just found out about these guys today and they really blew me away. They're pretty cool. I hope you'll like them as well.

Watch Bruce Springsteen and Jimmy Fallon cover LMFAO's "Sexy And I Know It"

Bruce Springsteen recently released new album Wrecking Ball. He was a host of Jimmy Fallon's talkshow and they together performed LMFAO's "Sexy And I Know It". Watch the country performance of the song here. Also, Jimmy Fallon is dressed as Neil Young, which makes the whole video even cooler.

Song of the day: Rage Against The Machine - "Killing In The Name"

Awesome performance of kick-ass song.

Watch new Anti-Flag music video

New studio record entitled The General Strike from Pittsburgh's punk-rockers Anti-Flag will be out on March 20. Therefore, band revealed new music video for their new song called "This Is The New Sound". It si second song revealed from new record after "1915".

New music video was made in cooperation with Amnesty International, which is one of the biggest organizations fighting for human rights.

The band made an official statement on their Web site:

"The erosion of human rights should always be taken seriously. We wanted to find a creative and clever way to introduce these ideas into the discourse about our new record “The General Strike”. This video is
a culmination of that idea, yea, maybe we’ll talk about how funny it is to see puppets beating the hell out of us, but we’ll also discuss the idea that people are being held in prisons without fair trials, and the promise Obama has made to shut down Guantanamo Bay has yet to be fulfilled."

Tom Parker, Policy Director for Terrorism & (Counter)terrorism and Human Rights for Amnesty International said about the video and cooperation with Anti-Flag:

"The passage of the NDAA represents a further erosion of human rights in the United States and we are excited to be partnering with Anti-flag to help get this message out to a wider audience."

The song and video are actually pretty awesome and you can watch it below:

Picture of the day: March 12, 2012

This one actually comes from fun site 9gag.com, but I think it reflects current music situation pretty well. I'm not saying there are no great bands nowadays, but popular music is just shit and people listen fewer and fewer to real good music.

Song of the day: Incubus - "In The Company Of Wolves"

"In The Company Of Wolves" is my favorite track from Incubus' latest record If Not Now, When?, which came out last year. It is little different record for Incubus, but still very good.

Anyway, this track is just mind-blowing. Especially the second part starting approximately at 3 minutes. One comment of this video on YouTube actually says that this is mini-stairway to heaven and I gotta agree with that.

Stream Foo Fighters' Reading 1995 set

Foo Fighters once again proved how awesome and cool they are. They really surprised all the fans with analog tape stream of their 1995 set at Reading Festival. If you head here, you can not only listen to the whole set but also virtually play with old-school casette player.

Watch Jack White perform at SNL

On March 3, Jack White made a TV appearance in support of his forthcoming debut record Blunderbuss, which comes out on April 24. He performed two songs from this record. First one is called "Love Interruption" and it was previously heard. However, "Sixteen Saltines" is a brand new song and it is really good. It's got really cool sound and it actually reminds me fast White Stripes tracks. Check both performances below.

Also, notice funny fact - during "Love Interruption", only girls form backing band and during "Sixteen Saltines", only men form the band. I just think that's pretty cool.

Listen to new song from Marilyn Manson

Personally, I have never been a big fan of this weirdo. However, I kind of appreciate him and think that he is a smart guy even though many people can't see that.

He recently released new single entitled "No Reflection". In fact, the track is not bad and it shows Manson's industrial side. It is a first track from his forthcoming record Born Villain, which will be out on May 1.

Marilyn Manson is also set to tour in support of new record. To check all the tour dates, visit his Web site.

Listen to full Black Box Revelation show

The Black Box Revelation are currently on their world tour. To check all their upcoming tour dates, visit their Web site. On March 6, they played a gig in New Jersey as part of their tour. They were also kind enough to post the whole show on soundcloud so people can listen to this awesome set. You can check the whole gig here.

The Racounters to release live DVD

The Racounters' frontman and ex-White Stripes leader Jack White is pretty busy now because of his debut solo record Blunderbuss, which will be out on April 24. Other members of the band are also working on their solo projects.

However, The Racounters will release live DVD on June 18. It will contain footage from their show at jazz festival in Montreaux in 2008. The band performed sixteen tracks during their set.

Tracklisting of DVD:

Consoler Of The Lonely
Hold Up
You Don’t Understand Me
Top Yourself
Old Enough
Keep Tt Clean
Intimate Secretary
Level
Steady, As She Goes
The Switch and the Spur
Rich Kid Blues
Blue Veins
Many Shades of Black
Broken Boy Soldier
Salute Your Solution

Pearl Jam will experiment on new record

Very anticipated tenth studio record from Washington's grunge rockers Pearl Jam should be out pretty soon. Successor of Backspacer is getting more and more tracks.

Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, guitarist Stone Gossard, said something about new album:

"We have already recorded some tracks and some are going to be recorded pretty soon. Maybe we will record one or two more tracks, but it is possible that we will record even six or seven more tracks."

He also explained that they're under no pressure and that gives them absolute freedom. Also, the band should show more experimental side. Gossard added:

"We always try to move forward and bring something new. We want people to think 'wow, this is little crazy for Pearl Jam, but it's good'."

I'm really excited about this new record because I think that Pearl Jam can't make a bad record because these guys are just awesome.

Song of the day: Hurts - "Blood Tears And Gold"

Awesome performance of a beautiful song. Can't wait for their sophomore album. I really hope it will be at least as good as their debut.

Listen to new song from Slash

Almost a month ago, I informed you about Slash releasing new record in May. There were no more information revealed except the release date (May 22) and names of artists featured on the record (Slash's touring band).

Now we know record title and also first song of the record is out. The title of the new record is Apocalyptic Love and it will be distributed via his label DikHayd International. First single is called "You're A Lie" and it is good song with great guitar riff and catchy chorus. You can listen to it below.

This photo posted Thom Yorke himself on his Facebook couple of days ago. I find it pretty funny.

Song of the day: Enter Shikari - "Juggernauts"

These guys released their third studio record A Flash Flood Of Colour this year and it is an awesome record (read the review here). This song comes from their previous record Common Dreads though. It is awesome track and great performance of it. Can't wait to see them live this summer for the first time.

Tenacious D revealed album details

A month ago, Tenacious D made us happy when they released new track and revealed name of their new record - Rize Of The Fenix. Well, now they revealed more information about the forthcoming record.

Tenacious D's third studio record will be out on May 15 and Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl will drum on the record. Like Foo Fighters' latest record The Wasting Light, Rize Of The Fenix was also recorded in a garage. I hope this record will be good and fun.

Watch Green Day's studio updates

Two weeks ago, I informed you about first studio update from Green Day. Since then, the band has released four more. They are not so long, but pretty cool. They feature not only footage of band during recording process but also interviews about the new record. Watch them all below.
